I love hair extensions, they really are so much fun. You can instantly chage the look, length and colour of your hair instantly or over a few hours.

The price of hair extensions are not as expensive as they were years ago. Now you can buy clip in DIY for around $100-$300 and instantly have long beautiful hair. These clips are easy to put in. You can still style them, curl it, straighten it, wash them and blow dry it, that is if you buy real human hair extensions.

The benefit of having clip in hair extensions is that you can put them in and take them out whenever you want. Unlike pre bonded extensions that are actually heat bonded to the hair, micro clipped or weaved in permanently for a short period of time.

The benefit of having bonded extensions is that they are in your hair everyday, no need to take out and can usually look quite nice even if unstyled for a natural wavy look. These types of extensions cost a little more than clip in depending on the grade of hair you choose to buy, and of course the cost you pay for the professional application of the product into your hair.

Damage of  heat bonded hair extensions? Depending on the condition of your hair, yes heat bonded extensions can damage the hair for many reasons then on the other hand if applied correctly, the condition of the hair is good, it can be ok. But beware

Your professional stylist should give you the right advice for your hair and the right extensions that would be suitable for your hair.

There are pros and cons for all extensions and of course the debate on which type of extensions are better as there are many many different manufacturer’s product on the market. Again go by your stylists advice and take into consideration what you can afford to pay for and afford to maintain.

Have you had extensions before? Which ones do you like?
